ABOUT

Kris is a licensed elementary education teacher, ice skating coach, certified yoga instructor, part-time university professor, and director of the Inline Certification Program. She first came to yoga for physical flexibility and to learn how to manage stress in her life. In 2008, as a part of her Master Degree in Exercise Science at Cleveland State University she conducted a research study on the benefits of a 10 minute, twice daily, Sun Salutation practice. After only 6 weeks of practice, the participants showed a significant increase in upper body strength and hamstring flexibility.

Kris writes, “Since stress is an unavoidable part of 21st century life, and despite this stress, we still wish to experience a life full of peace, happiness and love, then yoga can be the vehicle to accomplish this goal. Inherent in yoga is a plethora of techniques, that when learned and practiced regularly, can decrease levels of physical, mental, and emotional stress.”
